ABSTRACT: In the title compound, [FePdCl(C5H5)(C8H11N)(C18H15Sb)], obtained by reaction of diphen-yl(N,N-di-methyl-amino-methyl-ferrocen-yl)stibine with sodium tetra-chlorido-palladate(II) in acetone, the Pd(II) atom is coordinated in a slightly distorted square-planar geometry by a C atom of the ferrocenyl ring, and by N, Cl and Sb atoms. The Sb and N atoms are trans to each other.

Project description:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [PdCl(C9H12NSe)(C18H15P)], contains two independent mol-ecules. In both cases, the Pd(2+) cations are coordinated by the Se and N atoms of the chelating bidentate 2-[(di-methyl-amino)-meth-yl]benzene-seleno-late ligand. The chloride ligand lies trans to selenium and the tri-phenyl-phosphane ligand is trans to nitro-gen. The Pd-Se bond lengths in the two independent coordination environments of Pd are 2.3801?(4) and 2.3852?(4)?Å, the Pd-P bond lengths are 2.2562?(8) and 2.2471?(8)?Å, the Pd-N bond lengths are 2.172?(2) and 2.158?(2)?Å, and the Pd-Cl bond lengths are 2.3816?(8) and 2.3801?(8)?Å. The square-planar coordination around one Pd(2+) cation is less distorted than that around the other.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd(2)Cl(4)(C(8)H(11)O(2)P)(2)], is binuclear and disposed about a crystallographic centre of symmetry with a Pd?Pd distance of 3.4662?(17)?Å. It has a similar geometry to that observed in the triphenyl-phosphite and triphenyl-phosphine analogues. The Pd-P bond length is ca 0.04?Å shorter than those in mononuclear PdCl(2)(P(OMe)(2)Ph)(2), possibly due to the lower trans-influence of the bridging Cl(-) compared to a single-bonded Cl(-) atom.

Project description:In the title compound, [Pd(C(9)H(12)N)Cl(C(4)H(6)N(2))], which was synthesized from the reaction of 1-methyl-imidazole with dimeric dichloridobis[2-(dimethyl-amino)-benz-yl]palla-dium(II), the ring-deprotonated N,N-dimethyl-benzyl-amine ligand acts in a C,N-bidentate fashion. The dihedral angle between the ring of the 1-methyl-imidazole ligand and the palladacycle plane is 57.88?(16)°. The two N atoms from the N,N-dimethyl-benzyl-amine and 1-methyl-imidazole ligands are trans coordinated to the Pd(II) atom.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd(SC6H4F-p)Cl(PPh3)2]·0.5CH3OH, features a Pd(II) complex with two tri-phenyl-phosphane (PPh3) ligands arranged in a trans conformation, with one chloride and one 4-fluoro-benzene-thiol-ate ligand completing the coordination sphere, giving rise to a slightly distorted square-planar geometry of the Pd(II) ion. The methanol solvent mol-ecule is disordered about an inversion centre with an occupancy of 0.25 for each molecule. In the crystal, weak C-H?Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions between the complex mol-ecules generate chain frameworks parallel to [010].

Project description:The mol-ecular geometry of the complex cation in the title structure, [(?-Cl)(3){Ru(II)(?(6)-C(6)Me(6))}(2)][Fe(III)Cl(4)], compares very well with that reported earlier for the corresponding PF(6) (-) salt [Pandey et al. (1999 ?). J. Organomet. Chem.592, 278-282]. The [FeCl(4)](-) counter ion has a rather regular tetra-hedral geometry with Fe-Cl distances and Cl-Fe-Cl angles in the range 2.1891?(7)-2.2018?(8)?Å and 107.10?(3)-110.56?(3)°, respectively. There are no significant inter-molecular inter-actions in the crystal except for some weak C-H?Cl contacts, which in turn indicates that the crystal packing is determined predominantly by electrostatic inter-actions between the ionic constituents.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd2Cl2(C6H5S)2(C18H15P)2]·2CHCl3, contains a centrosymmetric dinuclear palladium complex with the Pd(II) cation in a slightly distorted square-planar coordination environment. The Pd(II) cations are bridged by the S atoms of two benzene-thiol-ate ligands with different Pd-S distances [2.2970?(11) and 2.3676?(11)?Å]. The coordination of the metal atom is completed by a chloride anion [2.3383?(11)?Å] and a tri-phenyl-phosphane ligand [2.2787?(11)?Å]. Weak C-H?Cl inter-actions are present between complex mol-ecules and the CHCl3 solvent mol-ecule. The latter is disordered over two positions in a 0.792?(8):0.208?(8) ratio. The crystal under investigation was found to be twinned by nonmerohedry, with a fraction of 73.4?(1)% for the major twin component.

Project description:The title compound, (C21H20OP)(C19H15N4)[CuCl4], was obtained by reacting CuCl2·2H2O with a mixture of one equivalent of acetonyltri-phenyl-phospho-nium chloride and one equivalent of 2,3,5-tri-phenyl-tetra-zolium chloride in aceto-nitrile. In the structure, the Cu centre in the dianion is bonded to four chloride ligands and adopts a distorted tetra-hedral geometry. The phospho-nium cation likewise adopts the expected tetra-hedral geometry. The tetra-zolium ring forms dihedral angles of 77.68 (10), 26.85 (11) and 66.48 (10)° with the planes of the benzene rings of the substituent groups. In the crystal, weak C-H⋯Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions involving both cations and the anion give rise to a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure.

Project description:The title compound, {(C(6)H(11)N(2))[CrCl(3)]}(n), was generated via mixing of the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium chloride with CrCl(2) in ethanol. Crystals were obtained by a diffusion method. In the crystal structure, the anion forms one-dimensional chains of chloride-bridged Jahn-Teller distorted chromium(II) centers extending along the [100] direction. The imidazolium cations are positioned between these chains.

Project description:The title compound, [Pd(2)(C(11)H(14)NO)(2)Cl(2)], has a dimeric structure with Cl atoms bridging the two Pd atoms, one half of the mol-ecule being generated by symmetry due to the crystallographic inversion centre located in the middle of the perfectly planar Pd(2)Cl(2) ring. The five-membered ring adopts an envelope conformation, while the morpholino group has a chair conformation. The geometry around the metal centres is distorted square-planar, as a result of a strong intra-molecular N→Pd coordination trans to a Pd-Cl bond. In the crystal structure, the dimeric structure is strengthened by inter-molecular C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds. C-H⋯C(phen-yl) inter-actions link the dimers into a columnar supra-molecular array along the a axis; the dimers are further connected by C-H⋯Ph inter-actions into a three-dimensional supra-molecular arrangement.
