ABSTRACT: The challenges of whole-genome data, when genotypes are available from hundreds of thousands of genetic markers, are explored for four topics in statistical genetics: Hardy-Weinberg testing, estimating linkage disequilibrium from unphased genotypic data, association mapping and characterizing population structure.
