Project description:Ihe title salt, C(8)H(6)F(3)N(2) (+)·NO(3) (-), the F atoms of the triflouromethyl group are disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.58 (2):0.42 (2) ratio. In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the cations and anions into chains running parallel to the b axis. There is π-π stacking between symmetry-related benzene rings with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.949 (3) Å. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin, with a 19% minor component.

Project description:In the title compound, C5H9N4 (+)·NO3 (-), the organic cations and the nitrate anions have both crystallographically imposed mirror symmetry and are linked via N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming infinite chains running along the c-axis direction. The values of the N-O bond lengths [1.2256 (19)-1.2642 (18) Å] and O-N-O angles [118.39 (16)-121.64 (15)°] indicate that the nitrate anion exhibits a slightly distorted C3h geometry. The N atom of the NH2 group has sp (2) character.

Project description:In the cation of the title compound, C10H13N2O(+)·I(-), all non-H atoms, with the exception of the O atom, are essentially coplanar, with a maximum deviation of 0.04?(1)?Å. In the crystal, the cations and anions are arranged in layers parallel to (100). The cations are connected to the anions via an O-H?I hydrogen bond and there are significant ?-? stacking inter-actions between cation layers, with centroid-centroid distances in the range 3.606?(5)-3.630?(5)?Å. A weak intra-molecular C-H?O hydrogen bond is also observed. The crystal studied was an inversion twin with refined components of 0.52?(5) and 0.48?(5).

Project description:In the title compound, C(26)H(32)N(4), the essentially planar (r.m.s. deviations of 0.0053 and 0.0242?Å) benzimidazole fragments are trans with respect to a central ethene fragment, and are canted in opposite directions by 2.78?(6) and 5.87?(6)° with respect to the ethene plane, giving the mol-ecule a propeller conformation. The terminal ethyl fragments of the pendant n-propyl groups protrude to either side of the benzimidazole planes. Overall, the mol-ecule exhibits a pseudo-center of symmetry at the mid-point of the ethene fragment. Both ?-? stacking and typical C-H?? inter-actions are notably absent, as are inter-molecular hydrogen bonds. When viewed along the a axis, the structure appears as criss-crossed layers of mol-ecules with the planar fragments separated along the c-cell direction by the protruding ethyl groups.

The Eu(III) ion is coordinated by nine O atoms from two H(2)bdc ligands, two sulfate anions and three water mol-ecules, displaying a bicapped trigonal prismatic geometry. The carboxyl-ate groups of the H(2)bdc ligands and the sulfate anions link the Eu(III) ions, forming a chain along [010]. These chains are further connected by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds and ?-? inter-actions between the imidazole and benzene rings [centroid-centroid distances = 3.997?(4), 3.829?(4) and 3.573?(4)?Å] into a three-dimensional supra-molecular network.
