A dual stimuli responsive nanogel-polyelectrolyte complex based on electrostatic coating has been developed. The nanoassembly is designed to elicit two disparate responses (<i>viz.</i> surface property change and guest encapsulation stability) from two different stimuli (<i>viz.</i> pH and redox variations).
