N-[Eth-yl(2-hy-droxy-eth-yl)carbamo-thio-yl]-2-methyl-benzamide.

ABSTRACT: The title compound, C13H18N2O2S, adopts a cis conformation between the methyl-benzoyl and thiono groups across their thio-urea C-N bond. However, the methyl-benzoyl group and N2CS thio-urea moiety are twisted by 15.03?(3)°. In the molecule there is an N-H?O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by O-H?O inter-actions, generating chains extending along the c-axis direction.

Project description:In the title compound, C16H17N3OS, a benzoyl thio-urea derivative, the planes of the pyridine and benzene rings are inclined to one another by 66.54 (9)°. There is an intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bond present forming an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via pairs of N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming inversion dimers, which are reinforced by pairs of C-H⋯S hydrogen bonds. The dimers are linked via C-H⋯π inter-actions, forming ribbons along [010].

Project description:In the title compound, C17H25N3O2S, the terminal and central amide groups are, respectively, twisted and coplanar with the attached benzene ring [O-C-C-C torsion angles = 22.7?(3) and 5.4?(3)°]. In the central part of the mol-ecule, the amide and thio-amide residues are approximately perpendicular [C-N-C-S torsion angle = -104.98?(18)°]. Project description:The title di-substituted thio-urea, C12H16N2O3S, has the hy-droxy-lethyl and ethyl benzoate substituents bound to the same amine-N atom, and is twisted, having a (+)syn-clinal conformation with the Namine-C-C-O(hydroxyl, carbon-yl) torsion angles of 49.39?(13) and 59.09?(12)°, respectively; the dihedral angle between the almost planar CN2S core and the pendent benzene ring is 69.26?(4)°. In the crystal, supra-molecular layers propagating in the ac plane are formed via a combination of hydroxyl-O-H?S(thione), amine-N-H?O(hydroxyl, carbon-yl) hydrogen-bonds. The layers stack along the b axis with inter-digitation of the benzene rings allowing the formation of ?-? stacking [inter-centroid separation = 3.8722?(7)?Å] and parallel C=O?? inter-actions. A computational chemistry study shows the conventional hydrogen bonding in the crystal leads to significant electrostatic stabilization but dispersion terms are also apparent, notably through the inter-actions involving the benzene residue.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(14)H(13)NO(2), the mol-ecules are approximately planar, the r.m.s. deviation for all non-H atoms being 0.0435 Å; the dihedral angle between the two rings is 3.45 (12)°. The planarity is accounted for in terms of the presence of intra-molecular N-H⋯O and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonding, each of which completes an S(6) ring motif. Project description:The title compound, C(9)H(12)N(2)OS, was obtained unexpectedly in a multicomponent reaction of an equimolar ratio of phenyl isothio-cyanate, malononitrile and amino-ethanol. The -C(H(2))-N(H)-(C=S)-N(H)- methyl-thio-urea-methane group is almost normal to the phenyl ring, with a dihedral angle of 71.13?(9)°. The N-C-C-O torsion angle is 72.8?(2)°.
