Aggressive Breast Cancer during Pregnancy with a Rare Form of Metastasis in the Maternal Placenta.


ABSTRACT: Breast cancer is the second most common cancer diagnosed during pregnancy. Here we describe a 29-year-old patient with a recurrence of breast cancer with simultaneous brain, pulmonary and placenta metastasis. An overview of the literature on placenta metastases is provided together with a report on the interdisciplinary medical management.
