(R,S)-2'-Amino-6'-methyl-2,5',5'-trioxo-6'H-spiro-[indoline-3,4'-pyrano[3,2-c][2,1]benzo-thia-zine]-3'-carbo-nitrile di-methyl-formamide monosolvate.

ABSTRACT: The title solvate, C20H14N4O4S·C3H7NO, comprises a stereogenic centre but the centrosymmetric space group causes the presence of the racemate in the crystal. The spiro-joined fragments are almost orthogonal, with a dihedral angle of 86.8?(2)° between the mean planes of the pyrane ring and the dihydroindolone ring system. The atoms of the indolinone bicycle are coplanar, with an r.m.s. deviation of 0.005?Å. In the crystal, pairs of N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into centrosymmetric dimers which are linked to the di-methyl-formamide solvent mol-ecules by further N-H?O hydrogen bonds. N-H?N hydrogen bonds link neighbouring dimers into [010] chains.

The title solvate, C20H14N4O4S·C3H7NO, comprises a stereogenic centre but the centrosymmetric space group causes the presence of the racemate in the crystal. Project description:In the title compound, C(27)H(15)NO(6)·0.5CHCl(3), the central pyran ring and both the benzopyran systems are planar, with the dihedral angle between the outer rings being 3.24?(6)°. The indolin-2-one system is in a perpendicular configuration with respect to the pyran ring [dihedral angle = 87.58?(2)°]. Supra-molecular layers in the ac plane are formed in the crystal structure whereby inversion-related mol-ecules are connected by N-H?O hydrogen bonds. These are further linked by C-H?O inter-actions, forming a supra-molecular layer in the ac plane. Its mean plane makes dihedral angles of 78.83?(14), 65.91?(15) and 44.49?(18)° with the mean planes of the adjacent oxindole ring system, the indole system and the thio-phene ring, respectively. The indole and indoline units are essentially planar, with maximum deviations of 0.019?(3) and 0.090?(3)?Å, respectively. In the oxindole fused-ring system, the pyrrole ring adopts an envelope conformation with the spiro C atom as the flap. In the crystal, pairs of N-H?O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules, forming inversion dimers with an R (2) 2(8) ring motif. Project description:In the title compound, C12H11NO4, the dihedral angle between the indole ring system (r.m.s. deviation = 0.019 Å) and the oxirane ring is 88.8 (2)°. The oxirane O atom and the bridging ester O atom are in an approximate syn conformation [O-C-C-O = -25.4 (3)°] In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pair of C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R 2 (2)(8) loops, where the C-H donor group forms part of the oxirane ring. A second C-H⋯O inter-action arising from one of the C-H groups of the benzene ring links the dimers into [001] double chains.
