ABSTRACT: In the title compound, C17H15BrO3S, the dihedral angle between the planes of the benzo-furan ring system [r.m.s. deviation = 0.015?(2)?Å] and the 4-bromo-phenyl ring is 89.29?(6)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked into a chain along the b-axis direction by C-H?? hydrogen bonds and C-Br?? [3.626?(1)?Å] inter-actions.
