ABSTRACT: Ingle and colleagues present timely findings identifying genetic variants associated with response to selective estrogen receptor modulator therapy that when substantiated in follow-up may represent an important step toward understanding estrogen-dependent induction of BRCA1 expression and advancing individualized preventive medicine in women at high risk for developing breast cancer.
