Japanese cedar pollinosis is one of the most prevalent allergies in Japan. Reducing the allergen content of pollen plays a major role in the alleviation of allergy symptoms. Aptamers, oligonucleotides with an affinity for specific molecules, have great potential for reducing allergic activity.
