<h4>Background</h4>A betabaculovirus (DisaGV) was isolated from Diatraea saccharalis (Lepidoptera: Crambidae), one of the most important insect pests of the sugarcane and other monocot cultures in Brazil.<h4>Results</h4>The complete genome sequence of DisaGV was determined using the 454-pyrosequencing method.
