Mutations in glucocerebrosidase (<i>GBA</i>) are a common risk factor for Parkinson's disease (PD). The scavenger receptor class B member 2 (<i>SCARB2</i>) gene encodes a receptor responsible for the transport of glucocerebrosidase (GCase) to the lysosome.
