Complete Genome Sequences of Seven Vibrio anguillarum Strains as Derived from PacBio Sequencing.

Project description:We report here the complete genome sequences of seven Vibrio anguillarum strains isolated from multiple geographic locations, thus increasing the total number of genomes of finished quality to 11. The genomes were de novo assembled from long-sequence PacBio reads. Including draft genomes, a total of 44 V. anguillarum genomes are currently available in the genome databases. They represent an important resource in the study of, for example, genetic variations and for identifying virulence determinants. In this article, we present the genomes and basic genome comparisons of the 11 complete genomes, including a BRIG analysis, and pan genome calculation. We also describe some structural features of superintegrons on chromosome 2 s, and associated insertion sequence (IS) elements, including 18 new ISs (ISVa3 - ISVa20), both of importance in the complement of V. anguillarum genomes.

Complete Genome Sequences of Seven Peanut Stunt Virus Strains from Japan.

Project description:We present the complete genomic RNA sequences of seven isolates of Peanut stunt virus discovered in diseased legume plants in various regions in Japan. These sequences and the published viral sequences were compared with respect to nucleotide percentages. Their phylogenetic analysis showed that all the isolates belong to subgroup IA.

Project description:Densoviruses (DNVs) infecting arthropods are members of the family Parvoviridae. Here we report the complete genome sequence of a novel DNV with a monosense genome that infects cotton bollworms (Helicoverpa armigera), named HaDNV-1. Alignment and phylogenetic analysis revealed that HaDNV-1 showed high identity with the genus Iteravirus.

Project description:Here, we describe the complete genome assemblies of seven Pseudomonas sp. isolates collected from a boreal forest soil on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. Using the VolTRAX v2 multiplex library preparation for Nanopore sequencing and Illumina reads for polishing, we assembled complete genome sequences for each of the isolates.

Project description:We report the complete genome sequences of two strains of the Alphaproteobacteria genus Rhodobacter, Rhodobacter blasticus 28/5, the source of the commercially available enzyme RsaI, and a new isolate of Rhodobacter sphaeroides 2.4.1. Both strains contain multiple restriction-modification systems, and their DNA methylation motifs are included in this report.

Organization of the ambisense genome of the Helicoverpa armigera Densovirus.

Project description:A natural densovirus (DNV) of a serious phytophagous pest, Helicoverpa armigera, was isolated. The genome of HaDNV contained 6,039 nucleotides (nt) and included inverted terminal repeats (ITRs) of 545 nt with terminal Y-shaped hairpins of 126 nt. Its DNA sequence and ambisense organization with four typical open reading frames (ORFs) demonstrated that it belonged to the genus Densovirus in the subfamily Densovirinae of the family Parvoviridae.
