ABSTRACT: The engineering of a novel dual-modality imaging probe is reported here by intrinsically labeling zirconium-89 ((89) Zr, a positron emission radioisotope with a half-life of 78.4 h) to PEGylated Gd2 O2 S:Eu nanophorphors, forming [(89) Zr]Gd2 O2 S:Eu@PEG for in vivo positron emission tomography/radioluminescence lymph node mapping.
