Crystal structure of bis-(2-amino-anilinium) hydrogen phosphate.

ABSTRACT: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C6H9N2 (+)·HPO4 (2-), comprises two 2-amino-anilinium cations and one hydrogen phosphate dianion. In the crystal, the HPO4 (2-) dianions are linked by O-H?O hydrogen bonds into chains along [100]. The inorganic anionic chains and organic cations are linked by N-H?O and N-H?N hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional supra-molecular network extending parallel to (001).

Project description:The crystal structure of the title salt, C8H12N(+)·C4H3O4 (-), consists of a 2,5-di-methyl-anilinium cation and an hydrogen maleate anion. In the anion, a strong intra-molecular O-H?O hydrogen bond is observed, leading to an S(7) graph-set motif. In the crystal, the cations and anions pack in alternating layers parallel to (001). The ammonium group undergoes inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions with the O atoms of three different hydrogen maleate anions. This results in the formation of ribbons extending parallel to [010] with hydrogen-bonding motifs of the types R (4) 4(12) and R (4) 4(18).

Crystal structure of 3,4-di-chloro-anilinium hydrogen phthalate.

Project description:In the title salt, C6H6Cl2N(+)·C8H5O4 (-), the carb-oxy-lic acid and carboxyl-ate groups of the anion form dihedral angles of 20.79 (19) and 74.76 (14)°, respectively, with the plane of the benzene ring. In the crystal, mol-ecules are assembled into a two-dimensional polymeric network parallel to (100) via N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. In addition, within the layer, there are π-π stacking inter-actions between the benzene rings of the cation and the anion [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6794 (17) Å]. A weak C-H⋯O interaction is also observed.

Crystal structure of bis-(4-acetyl-anilinium) tetra-chlorido-mercurate(II).

Project description:The structure of the title salt, (C8H10NO)2[HgCl4], is isotypic with that of the cuprate(II) and cobaltate(II) analogues. The asymmetric unit contains one 4-acetyl-anilinium cation and one half of a tetra-chlorido-mercurate(II) anion (point group symmetry m). The Hg-Cl distances are in the range 2.4308?(7)-2.5244?(11)?Å and the Cl-Hg-Cl angles in the range of 104.66?(2)-122.94?(4)°, indicating a considerable distortion of the tetra-hedral anion. In the crystal, cations are linked by an inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-action, leading to a C(8) chain motif with the chains extending parallel to the b axis. There is also a ?-? stacking inter-action with a centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.735?(2)?Å between neighbouring benzene rings along this direction. The anions lie between the chains and inter-act with the cations through inter-molecular N-H?Cl hydrogen bonds, leading to the formation of a three-dimensional network structure.

Project description:In the crystal structure of the title mol-ecular salt, C6H9N2O2S(+)·H2PO4 (-), the sulfomylalinium cations and the di-hydrogen phosphate anions form independent [100] chains through Ns-H?O (s = sulfamo-yl) and O-H?O hydrogen bonds, respectively. The chains are cross-linked by Na-H?O (a = amine) hydrogen bonds, generating (010) sheets. Two C-H?O hydrogen bonds involving diametrically opposite C atoms in the benzene ring of the cation as donors form chains parallel to [202] in which P=O and P-OH groups are acceptors. Together, these inter-actions lead to a three-dimensional network.

Crystal structure of bis-(4-acetyl-anilinium) tetra-chlorido-cobaltate(II).

Project description:The structure of the title salt, (C8H10NO)2[CoCl4], is isotypic with the analogous cuprate(II) structure. The asymmetric unit contains one 4-acetyl-anilinium cation and one half of a tetra-chlorido-cobaltate(II) anion for which the Co(II) atom and two Cl(-) ligands lie on a mirror plane. The Co-Cl distances in the distorted tetra-hedral anion range from 2.2519?(6) to 2.2954?(9)?Å and the Cl-Co-Cl angles range from 106.53?(2) to 110.81?(4)°. In the crystal, cations are self-assembled by inter-molecular N-H?O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, leading to a C(8) chain motif with the chains running parallel to the b axis. ?-? stacking inter-actions between benzene rings, with a centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.709?Å, are also observed along this direction. The CoCl4 (2-) anions are sandwiched between the cationic chains and inter-act with each other through inter-molecular N-H?Cl hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional network structure.

Crystal structure of dimanganese(II) zinc bis-[ortho-phosphate(V)] monohydrate.

Project description:The title compound, Mn2Zn(PO4)2·H2O, was obtained under hydro-thermal conditions. The structure is isotypic with other transition metal phosphates of the type M 3- xM' x (PO4)2·H2O, but shows no statistical disorder of the three metallic sites. The principal building units are distorted [MnO6] and [MnO5(H2O)] octa-hedra, a distorted [ZnO5] square pyramid and two regular PO4 tetra-hedra. The connection of the polyhedra leads to a framework structure. Two types of layers parallel to (-101) can be distinguished in this framework. One layer contains [Zn2O8] dimers linked to PO4 tetra-hedra via common edges. The other layer is more corrugated and contains [Mn2O8(H2O)2] dimers and [MnO6] octa-hedra linked together by common edges. The PO4 tetra-hedra link the two types of layers into a framework structure with channels parallel to [101]. The H atoms of the water mol-ecules point into the channels and form O-H?O hydrogen bonds (one of which is bifurcated) with framework O atoms across the channels.

Project description:In the title salt, C5H14N2 (2+)·2C4H3O4 (-), the asymmetric unit contains two independent 2-methyl-piperazinium dications, which comprise a racemic pair, and four hydrogen maleate monoanions. In the roughly planar hydrogen maleate anions, intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate S(7) rings. In the crystal, the four independent anions are linked to the 2-methyl-piperazinium cations through N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming two-dimensional layered structures lying parallel to (001).

The squaric acid mol-ecules each donate an H atom to the N atoms of the pyridine ring and the amino-methyl units of a 2-(amino-meth-yl)pyridine mol-ecule, forming the 1:2 salt. The Hsq- anions are linked by strong O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and an N-H⋯O hydrogen bond links the 2-(aza-niumylmeth-yl)pyridinium cation to one of the squaric acid anions. The crystal structure features additional N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, π-π stacking and unusual weak C-O⋯π(ring) inter-actions.

Crystal structure of bis[4-(di-methyl-amino)-pyridinium] bis(2-nitro-benzoate) trihydrate.

Project description:The title salt, 2C7H11N2 (+)·2C7H4NO4 (-)·3H2O, crystallized with two anions and two cations in the asymmetric unit, together with three water mol-ecules. Both 4-di-methyl-amino-pyridinium cations are protonated at their pyridine N atoms with the plane of the N(CH3)2 hetero atoms inclined to the pyridine ring by 4.5 (2) and 1.4 (2)°. In the 2-nitro-benzoate anions, the carboxyl and nitro groups are inclined to their respective benzene rings by 77.1 (3) and 20.0 (3)°, and 75.8 (2) and 20.9 (3)°. In the crystal, the anions are linked via O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the water mol-ecules, forming chains along [100]. The cations are linked to these chains by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds. The chains are linked via C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and C-H⋯π and π-π inter-actions [inter-centroid distances range from 3.617 (1) to 3.851 (1) Å], forming a three-dimensional structure.

Crystal structure of 2,5-di-methyl-anilinium salicylate.

Project description:The title mol-ecular salt, C8H12N(+)·C7H5O3 (-) arose from the proton-transfer reaction between 2,5-xylidine and salicylic acid. In the anion, the dihedral angle between the planes of the aromatic ring and the -CO2 (-) group is 11.08 (8)°; this near planarity is consolidated by an intra-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, the components are connected by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, with all three O atoms in the anion acting as acceptors; the result is a [100] chain. The structure also features weak C-H⋯O bonds and aromatic π-π stacking [centroid-to-centroid distance = 3.7416 (10) Å] inter-actions, which lead to a three-dimensional network.
