<h4>Introduction</h4>Because of reduced nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability with age, passive leg movement (PLM)-induced vasodilation is attenuated in older sedentary subjects and, unlike the young subjects, cannot be augmented by posture-induced elevations in femoral perfusion pressure.
