Congenital obstructive nephropathy (CON) is the most prevalent cause of pediatric chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease. The ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) region, where the renal pelvis transitions to the ureter, is the most commonly obstructed site in CON.
