Failing Fontan physiology in univentricular hearts manifest with protein-losing enteropathy, plastic bronchitis, low cardiac output, and recurrent effusions. Transcatheter creation of fenestration in a failing Fontan may be useful in alleviating the symptoms by improving the cardiac output.
