Design and Fabrication of Microspheres with Hierarchical Internal Structure for Tuning Battery Performance.


ABSTRACT: Microspheres with controlled nano- and macroporosity are fabricated by template-assisted spray drying. Increasing the porosity of the particle up to 20% improves the rate performance of the particles as shown experimentally and by electrochemical simulations of particle lithiation.
