Toxoplasmosis may be transferred by organ transplantation. The most common clinical presentation is with multisystem disease, although isolated ocular toxoplasmosis has been described. Many centers have suggested that universal use of co-trimoxazole prophylaxis obviates the need for specific Toxoplasma testing.
