Excellent outcomes have been demonstrated in primary human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive (HIV+) kidney transplant recipients, but a subset will lose their graft and seek retransplantation (re-KT). To date, no study has examined outcomes among HIV+ re-KT recipients.
