The ability to genetically manipulate trigeminal ganglion (TG) neurons would be useful in the study of the craniofacial nervous system and latent alphaherpesvirus infections. We investigated adeno-associated virus (AAV) vectors for gene delivery to the TG after intradermal whiskerpad delivery in mice.
