Sirtuin 2 (SIRT2) is a sirtuin family deacetylase, which maintains genome integrity and prevents tumorigenesis. Although <i>Sirt2</i> deficiency in mice leads to tumorigenesis, the functional significance of somatic <i>SIRT2</i> mutations in human tumors is unclear.
