Complete Coding Genome Sequence for Mogiana Tick Virus, a Jingmenvirus Isolated from Ticks in Brazil.

ABSTRACT: Mogiana tick virus (MGTV) is a segmented jingmenvirus isolated in 2011 from cattle ticks in Brazil. Here, we present a complete coding genome sequence for MGTV isolate MGTV/V4/11, including all four segments. MGTV is evolutionarily related to the Jingmen tick virus isolates SY84 and RC27.

The hemagglutinin (HA) sequences of the Kazakhstan isolates appeared to be closely related to viruses isolated in early 2000 in Asia. Phylogenetic analysis characterized the Kazakhstan isolates as a member of the Florida sublineage clade 2 by the HA protein sequence.

Project description:Tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) strain A104 was isolated from the brain of a yellow-necked mouse in Austria in 1990. The complete genome sequence was 11,097 nucleotides long. Comparison with TBEV prototype strain Neudoerfl showed 32 amino acid exchanges and the absence of an internal poly(A) stretch within the 3' noncoding region.
