<h4>Objective</h4>To study whether Notch signaling, which regulates cell fate decisions and vessel morphogenesis, controls lymphatic development.<h4>Methods and results</h4>In zebrafish embryos, sprouts from the axial vein have lymphangiogenic potential because they give rise to the first lymphatics.
