Transmission ratio distortion (TRD) and sterility are male-specific quantitative trait phenomena associated with the mouse t haplotype. TRD occurs in t haplotype-heterozygous males and is caused by the deleterious action of distorter products on sperm bearing a wild-type responder locus.
