The exopolysaccharide succinoglycan is produced mainly by a large number of soil microbes of <i>Agrobacterium</i>, <i>Rhizobium</i> or <i>Pseudomonas</i> genera etc. Structural properties of succinoglycan are unique in terms of its thermal stability and superior viscosifying property.
