Genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) was used to survey genome-wide single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in three biparental strawberry (<i>Fragaria</i> × <i>ananassa</i>) populations with the goal of evaluating this technique in a species with a complex octoploid genome.
