Granulomas are hallmarks of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) and traditionally viewed as host-protective structures. However, recent evidence suggest that <i>Mycobacterium tuberculosis</i> (Mtb) uses its virulence factors to stimulate the formation of granuloma.
