ABSTRACT: This Letter describes the development of a catalytic decarbonylative C-S coupling reaction that transforms thioesters into thioethers. Both Pd- and Ni-based catalysts are developed and applied to the construction of diaryl, aryl alkyl, and heterocycle-containing thioethers.
