The small RNA ErsA of <i>Pseudomonas aeruginosa</i> was previously suggested to be involved in biofilm formation via negative post-transcriptional regulation of the <i>algC</i> gene that encodes the virulence-associated enzyme AlgC, which provides sugar precursors for the synthesis of several polysaccharides.
