<i>Pseudomonas aeruginosa</i>, a Gram-negative opportunistic pathogenic bacterium, causes acute and chronic infections. Upon entering the host, <i>P. aeruginosa</i> alters global gene expression to adapt to host environment and avoid clearance by the host immune system.
