The existence of only natural brown and green cotton fibers (BCF and GCF, respectively), as well as poor fiber quality, limits the use of naturally colored cotton (<i>Gossypium hirsutum</i> L.). A better understanding of fiber pigment regulation is needed to surmount these obstacles.
