Argasid ticks include vectors of relapsing fevers caused by <i>Borrelia</i> spp. in humans, and they can transmit arboviruses and other bacterial pathogens. Knowledge about soft ticks (<i>Ixodida: Argasidae</i>) in Algeria is incomplete, and distribution data need to be updated.
