An overview of eight- and nine-coordinate N-donor solvated lanthanoid(III) and actinoid(III) ions.

ABSTRACT: The use of replacement lanthanoid ions in actinoid chemistry is commonplace, which requires a full understanding of the similarities and differences between the two series. This overview lists, compares and discusses the available crystallographic data for N-donors for the lanthanoids and the actinoids using their trivalent state as a natural starting point for comparison.
