Sepia ink polysaccharide (SIP) isolated from squid and cuttlefish ink is a kind of acid mucopolysaccharide that has been identified in three types of primary structures from squid (<i>Illex argentinus</i> and <i>Ommastrephes bartrami</i>), cuttlefish <i>Sepiella maindroni,</i> and cuttlefish <i>Sepia esculenta</i> ink.
