Controlled human malaria infection (CHMI) by direct venous inoculation (DVI) with 3,200 cryopreserved <i>Plasmodium falciparum</i> sporozoites (PfSPZ) consistently leads to parasitemia and malaria symptoms in malaria-naive adults.
