Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) was detected for the first time in China in 2011. Since then, human cases have been reported in endemic regions, including Japan. To investigate the presence of tick-borne pathogens in Tokyo, 551 ticks (266 samples) were collected from October 2015 to October 2016.
