Erdheim-Chester disease (ECD) is a rare non-Langerhans cell histiocyte disorder most commonly characterized by multifocal osteosclerotic lesions of the long bones demonstrating sheets of foamy histiocyte infiltrates on biopsy with or without histiocytic infiltration of extraskeletal tissues.
