With the growing prevalence of obesity, the burden of type 2 diabetes is increasing. Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a very common medical condition that is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality. Obesity is a common risk factor for OSA and type 2 diabetes and hence it is not surprising that OSA and type 2 diabetes are interlinked.
