The key to solving environmental and energy issues through photocatalytic technology requires highly efficient, stable and eco-friendly photocatalysts. Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C<sub>3</sub>N<sub>4</sub>) is one of the most promising candidates except for its limited photoactivity.
