Heparin-binding haemagglutinin (HBHA) is a surface-exposed virulence factor of <i>Mycobacterium tuberculosis</i> and is involved in the binding of mycobacteria to non-phagocytic cells, allowing for extra-pulmonary dissemination of the bacilli.
