Human mastadenovirus (HAdVs) can cause a broad spectrum of diseases in both children and adults, including acute respiratory infection, gastroenteritis, epidemic keratoconjunctivitis. Populations susceptible to adenovirus infection include children, immunocompromised patients and military recruits.
