New genus and two new species of Hyaliodini from the Philippines (Miridae, Deraeocorinae).

ABSTRACT: Philicoris, a new genus of the mirid subfamily Deraeocorinae, tribe Hyaliodini, is described from the Philippines. New species Philicorismayon sp. n. and Philicorispalali sp. n. from the island of Luzon are documented with photographic images of the dorsal habitus and male genital structures.

Project description:A new diplommatinid genus, Luzonocoptis Páll-Gergely & Hunyadi, gen. n. is erected for two new species, Luzonocoptis antenna Páll-Gergely & Hunyadi, sp. n. and L. angulata Páll-Gergely & Hunyadi, sp. n. Both species inhabit the northeastern part of Luzon Island, Philippines. The genus Luzonocoptisgen. n. is mostly characterized by a very slender shell with 14-18 whorls, a strongly expanded peristome, an interrupted, weak columellar lamella, the absence of any additional plicae or lamellae, and a rachidian tooth having five cusps.

Project description:A new species of the plant bug tribe Mirini representing a new genus, Fangumellus flavobadius, is described from Laos. This genus is characterized primarily by the medium-sized, ovoid, tumid body, less shiny, roughened, almost impunctate dorsal surface, short antenna and labium, short pygophore, and atypical shape of parameres and endosoma. The phylogenetic relationship to other known mirine genera is also discussed.

Project description:The mirine plant bug genus Paramiridius, previously known only from a single Taiwanese species, is reported from Indochinese Laos for the first time and redefined. Two additional species, Paramiridius indochinensis and Paramiridius laomontanus, are described as new to science. The female genitalic structures of the genus are documented for the first time. Habitus illustrations, figures of male genitalia, and key are provided for all three known Paramiridius species.

It is easily separated from the type species SulawesifulviusschuhiGorczyca et al., 2004, the only other species of the genus, by the small size, dorsal coloration, and the male genital structures. The discovery of a new species of Sulawesifulvius in southern India considerably extends the distribution of the genus, previously recorded only from Sulawesi, Indonesia.
