<i>Staphylococcus aureus</i> is the leading cause of skin and skin structure infection (SSSI), a primary portal of entry for invasive infection. Our prior studies discovered a role for protective innate memory against recurrent methicillin-resistant <i>S. aureus</i> (MRSA) SSSI.
