ABSTRACT: A novel high yielding, enantio- and diastereoselective protocol for the synthesis of ?-allylated highly functionalised ?-amino acid derivatives by adding isoxazolidin-5-ones to MBH carbonates under asymmetric phase-transfer catalysis has been developed.
