In the title compound, [Ni(C<sub>10</sub>H<sub>24</sub>N<sub>2</sub>O<sub>4</sub>)(C<sub>4</sub>H<sub>4</sub>O<sub>4</sub>)]·4H<sub>2</sub>O, the Ni<sup>II</sup> cation is octa-hedrally coordinated by one O atom of the succinate anion and three O atoms and two N atoms from an <i>N</i>,<i>N</i>,<i>N</i>',<i>N</i>'-tetra-kis-(2-hy-droxy-eth-yl)ethyl-enedi-amine mol-ecule.
