Placental transmogrification of the lung (PTL) is a rare benign pulmonary lesion resembling chorionic villi. With fewer than 40 cases reported in literature, associations have thus far been made with bullous emphysema, pulmonary fibrochondromatous hamartomas and adenocarcinoma of the lung.
