Draft Genome Sequences of Legionella taurinensis Recovered from a Hot Water System in Austria, 2018.

ABSTRACT: Members of the genus Legionella are widespread in natural water sources. This is the first report on the draft genome sequences of Legionella taurinensis in Austria. The isolates were recovered from a hot water system associated with a case of Legionnaires' disease caused by Legionella pneumophila in 2018.

Project description:Here, we report two draft genome sequences from a novel lineage within the Armatimonadetes phylum recovered from metagenomes sequenced from Japanese hot spring microbial mats. These organisms are aerobic and represent a new lineage related to the characterized Chthonomonas and Fimbriimonas groups, and they expand the diversity of this enigmatic phylum.

Project description:We present the draft genome sequences of three Legionella strains that were isolated from a hotel water distribution system. Legionella species identification was performed by macrophage infectivity potentiator (mip) and RNA polymerase β subunit (rpoB) gene sequencing. Whole-genome sequencing and average nucleotide identity results supported the hypothesis of new Legionella species isolation.

In this study, we present draft genome sequences of four Citrobacter isolates obtained from three species of wild Australian shorebirds.

Whole-genome sequencing was performed on strains NML030171 and NML080357; the sequences were found to have 5.86 and 5.73 Mb of clean data and G+C contents of 67.5 and 66.74 mol%, respectively.
