We previously showed that an inflammation-related, molecule leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein (LRG) enhances the transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1-induced phosphorylation of Smad proteins and is elevated in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
